Okay part two!
So let's see. I have the ceremony site, reception site, bridesmaids dresses, and wedding gown out of the way. WOW!
Now I'm facing the difficult task of tackling a photographer, DJ, and florist...then I want to decide on the cake, invitations (which I will make myself), programs (again, myself), and all the rest of those little details...
I've emailed a TON of photogs. And I think I have it narrowed down.
I really like Thomas Alan Photography. His website is thomasalanphoto.com. I LOVE the albums he does as well. And his price is very reasonable. It includes 6 hours of coverage, proofs, a traditional mat album (which you can upgrade to digital flush mount--what I want--for a reasonable price), two 8x10s, four 5x7s, a DVD w/slideshow and digital negatives, AND a complimentary engagement session w/proofs and CD. NICE.
Another one I'm looking at is Essential Wedding Photography (digitalweddingpics.com. What I like about them is that they use two photographers. For a basic, basic package, they include 6 hours of coverage, a proof album, two photogs, online digital proofing/ordering, a master DVD of the images, editing, color, and black and white. But then the digital album is a lot more expensive. The good thing, though, is that you can create a custom package--pay for the photography by the hour, and then just purchase the digital album and a master DVD, or something like that. It would be about the same price as Thomas Alan, except for the fact that you get two photographers. So that's also something I want to think about.
Also, Robert McClory (weddingsbyrobert.com) is very impressive. I LOVE his photos on the website. And he seems pretty affordable as well. He sent me a sample album, which again, I like.
So pretty much, it's going to be VERY hard to pick between those three!! But I think I can do it. I'm going to try to set up meetings with all of them on Saturday. I'm also meeting with Brittany at Maison & Jardin to go over the menu on Saturday. I'm going to make that my wedding errand day, haha!
As far as DJ services go, I'm really, really leaning toward DJ Fun Factory (djfunfactory.com). A girl I know recommended them to me--and I've been emailing back and forth with one of them, Darrin, all day. He has been SO helpful, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. Not to mention the price is VERY appealing to me, haha! He's going to send me a contract, a reception planner, and a song list. I'm definitely leaning toward using their service.
So there you have it with the boring ol' details, lol! I'm moving right along, though...so that's always good, right?! :-) |
